5 tips to start your day right 

Good morning guys, How you start your day is very important if you want to most the most of your mornings there are habits that you can develop which can help set you up for the day.

Here are 5 simple tips I thought I would share with you that will help you make the most of your day.

  1. The first thing is to take a minute…. when you wake up take a little time to set your goals for the day, run through your schedule so that you can make the most of your day from start to finish.
  2. Make your bed!!! When some of the most successful people were asked what their morning routines were making their bed seemed to be in the top 5. It may seem like such a small chore but making your bed up as soon as you wake up can help you start your day already feeling accomplished and ready to take on the bigger tasks of the day.
  3. Take a shower in the morning to help start your day refreshed. after your shower get up and dressed and ready for the day. when you stay in your pyjamas it can make you feel sluggish so get in and moving!
  4. Eat a healthy breakfast. I’m sure we’ve all heard it “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” but it really is, make some time to eat a healthy breakfast to give you the energy to focus and concentrate on the day ahead.
  5. Meditate /or Exercise – A bit of mindfulness a day can go a longggg way, there are countless ways that meditation can help you for the day, for example, it can help you in reducing stress levels, focusing the mind and level your emotional stability. a simple technique is to just focus on your breathing for a couple minutes as you inhale and exhale your focus should be solely on your breath and clearing your mind of any unnecessary stress. If you find it hard to meditate you could try a simple exercise or a stretching routine for 5 minutes doing a few stretches in the morning can help loosen your muscles after sleep.

There are plenty of habits you can add to your routine in order to prepare yourself for a good day ahead. Starting the day right has an abundance of advantages in helping you on your way to success and happiness.

3 Things keeping you stressed…

Thought I would do a quick post on three things we do as people that hold us back and simple ways to stop yourself from continuing doing them.

1. We make assumptions. We as people make assumptions on a number of different things and most of the time it’s even unconsciously. We assume that people will know how we feel or how they should act or what they should do for us and we assume we know what we should do for someone. – making assumptions will only end in you being hurt, disappointed or let down… let’s say for example in a relationship it’s very often the partners assume that the other should know what they want/ what not to do it is often said “you should have known” it should not be assumed that anyone knows what you want or need no one can read your mind and you will only drive yourself crazy if you start assuming people will do something or know exactly how you feel. In any situation in life, we make assumptions and it’s just because in our society that’s how we’ve been raised. However, we can make a conscious effort to stop. Use your communication instead. Instead of getting upset over something try to talk to them about where you are at and if they are on the same page as you let them know how you feel and what you would like them to do and this isn’t just in relationships it’s for friendships, family even co-workers

2. Holding grudges. Holding a grudge on someone is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. This will only fill YOU with anger, sadness, and emotional poison. You will be the one carrying around this anger or resentment the person which you hold the grudge towards will only be out there living their life and being happy, don’t let them keep you living in anger. Let go of all your grudges that you hold and believe me you will feel 10 times lighter. As hard as it may be, learn to forgive people even if it’s not for them but for your own peace of mind.

3. Taking life too seriously. ” Life is to be lived not controlled” Laughter really is the best remedy – learn to laugh at life. Sometimes we start to take things too seriously and laughter is an amazing thing to bring people together, to mend you of your stress and it will show you that not everything in life is to be taken so seriously. Sometimes things happen to us that we can’t control, we can’t always be graceful, we mess up it’s at times like these where we can choose to take what life has thrown our way with a pinch of salt and a heap of laughter. Learning to laugh at yourself is one of the best things you can do It will make you realise the important thing in life. When you look back at the life you lived the most precious memories you will have are the ones you shared laughter and smiles with your family and friends

Try to make a conscious effort towards changing these three habits and you will be able to remove at least a little bit of the stress away from your shoulders.

10 reasons to be happy!!  

Hey guys x 

Hope your all doing good and keeping positive. If you find your having troubles and lose your way I have complied 10 reason to why we should be happy! 

1- YOU are here! 

It’s very simple but the fact that you as a human are here on the earth alive, living your life. Life should not be taken for granted it is a gift, a gift that we should take advantage of and do everything we possibly can while we have it. 

2- YOU are exactly where you are supposed to be. 

Understand everything happens for a reason whether is it for a blessing or a lesson you can never loose if you look at whatever situation you are in as something you can learn and grow from. You will always look back at a situation and realise it was all for a reason at some point. 

3- Live in the moment. 

Enjoying the moment that you are in can make a big difference. This habit takes practice but once you are able to clear you mind and live only in the moment you are  in you are able to notice all the love and joy around you and give love back. If you always look for happiness in tomorrow you will miss out on all the happiness of today and if you always reminisce on the happy moments of yesterday you will be stuck, uncabable of creating any better moments. 

4- Happiness is beneficial to your health.

 It has been proven that happy people live longer. Being happy lowers your heart rate, your levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and other symptoms we associate with heart disease.

5- it’s contagious. 

When you are happy you give out good energy into the world and you have the ability to change the mood and well being of those around you. Just a simple smile can make someone’s day. So make sure that you are a source of happiness and you will affect people in ways you didn’t even know you could. In return you will be happier. Furthermore being happy can help you have better relationships and who doesn’t want that?

6- YOU are not your mind. 

What do I mean by this? I means it’s easy for us to become slaves to our thoughts and in instances become overwhelmed by our emotion and thoughts leading us to  become our thoughts. But the good thing is we are not our thoughts, take a step back have some time out and try again. 

7- law of attraction. 

This is very simple – what you give is what you get. You cannot expect the universe you give you happiness and blessings if you only put out negative energy, we cannot attract to more then what we believe we are worth. Change your mind to be happy and positive and your whole life will be blessed with joy and good things. 

8-Nothing is set in stone

You have the power to change a situation. Nothing is certain so if you are in a situation you feel is affecting you in a bad way just remember it is not written in stone and you can change it or it will change. Everyday is a new opportunity to be better then yesterday. 

9- Be generous 

Small acts of kindness can make you feel better. Act without expectation. 

10-Look on the bright side

Your perception is key if you view everything as being bad then they will be. So always try to look to the brighter side of life and you will become instantly more satisfied. And remember to always celebrate the little victories. Happy people see possibilities when impossibilities. 

Finally I really hope you all notice that most of the points above have YOU in them. I want to make the biggest point that your happiness should come from within YOU, you have the power to make your life a happy one.

It’s been a while but I really wanted to dedicate this post as a start of something new, A start of a new era and way of thinking, taking control and changing our ways.

I want to start off by saying I am by no means a life coach, but I am studying neuropsychology and I’ve found my knowledge, advice, and talks seem to help people. I just want to bring a bit of mindfulness and goodness into your screen 💫

The beginning 

When is it time to make a change?  When you start realising that you are stuck! If you find yourself in a situation where you are unhappy and you are toxic to yourself and those around you. That’s when you should start to make a change. It won’t be easy, we as humans have spent our whole lives getting into bad habits which prevent us from changing and trying out new things. You just have to be brave and take the plunge.

If you want something in life you have to take it. Most times when we want something especially when it is new and out of our comfort zone we get scared and stick to our safety option we get scared of failing in the presence of others. In life,  if you have a dream you can’t ever let anyone tell you it’s not worth it or humiliate you. This is your life and if you believe you can do something put your mind to it and you will achieve it. If you fail the first few times you try it is perfectly fine no one is perfect and no one will ever achieve what they want just like that, it takes practice and you will get knocked down before you can succeed but you will.

One of the best things to consider whilst trying to start this movement is that you are the main and most important person in your life. Your life revolves around you. Not in the sense that you are more important than anyone else and you should be oblivious to others but in the sense that everyone is the main character in their own story. So don’t spend your life trying to please anyone or conforming to anything unless it is what YOU want to do and what makes YOU happy. So whatever that dream may be if you are doing it for you no one else matters and no amount of times you fail will matter cause once you succeed every failure will look like a triumph.

I suggest reading the four agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and the power of now by Eckhart Tolle these books will really help you in the process of making a change to the way you think and act.

Start living your life 

Start living your life as if today was your last day. If you were to go to the doctors and they were to tell you, you only had a month left to live. What would you do? You would go out and live your life to the fullest doing only what made you happy with the ones you love, not caring about what others thought about you. Why would we only start living our lives like this when the threat of it being ended arises? Tomorrow is never guaranteed so live as if it isn’t and do everything you can and want to today.

Live with love and kindness in your heart and you will be happy. Be honest with everyone in every situation and this will allow you so have so much freedom in your soul. Take every opportunity that arises because God has a plan and he never puts anything in your path that was not intended for you. Live so that you have no regrets.

I understand saying and doing are two very different things and I can hold my hands up and say I have not done all these things completely up to date but I can say this is the beginning. I am here for everyone so if you ever feel as though you need someone to talk to even if I don’t don’t know you just message me I won’t judge. Just always support ya and spread some love to ya xx

I was able to visit the store over the weekend, it is very cosy and welcoming. Barcelona 2015

Barcelona 2015

Hey everyone thought I’d do this travel piece from Barcelona last year since it’s been so long since I went yet I am still in love with that city. Since it was quiet a while ago I don’t have as many pictures as I would like and they are all in an iPhone 5 quality so apologies for this.

I went Barcelona in July 2015 ( my second time going there I previously went in 2013)
And I just loved it. I stayed in the Diagonal Mar area, our hotel was only about a 5 minute walk from the beach and the train station. There is so much to do and the week we spent there just wasn’t enough time!

The good thing about Barcelona is that it has everything you like about the city but the beach is right there too. Everywhere is so clean, the architecture is insane and completely different to London so if you are into architecture I highly recommend you go there furthermore people are very friendly and welcoming. lastly the food is so good with so many different places to choose from not to mention it is so cheap there you can have a whole three coursed meal for around 10 euros each which is very good!

That week we went to see a couple tourist places including Parc Guell – a great place to go and get away from the city there is lots of climbing you can do and once you get to the top the view is breathtaking, Camp Nou- the Barcelona football stadium and Sagrada Familia – a very well known church built by the famous Gaudí.

Palma de Mallorca 2016

Hey guys, I’ve been waiting to do this post!

Over the summer I went to Palma de Mallorca, it was the first time I had been there and I definitely enjoyed it, mostly cause of the company I had, however, we mistook the area for another when we booked it and it ended up being predominantly German, But we made the most of it and we were able to find loads of little beaches hidden away and even done a few water sports and snorkelling. This holiday made me realise that as long as you have good company anywhere you go will be great. I can definitely say I made some beautiful memories there which I will never forget.

The weather was amazing around 25-30 degrees. I love the sun so wherever it is hot I am happy!

I also got a camera as a birthday present right before we left for Mallorca so I was able to take loads of pictures and fiddle around with it so I have so many pictures I wish I could share with you all.
